KATHMANDU, March 16: Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, paid a courtesy call on Narayan Prasad Dahal at the National Assembly office in Singha Durbar.
The meeting covered bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation, mutual assistance, and current affairs. Chair Dahal highlighted the long-standing ties between Nepal and China, noting that relations are strong not only at the diplomatic level but also among the people.

Dahal also appreciated China’s support during the post-Gen-Z movement period and the recent parliamentary elections held on March 5.
Ambassador Zhang emphasized that Nepal-China relations have remained friendly and mutually beneficial since their diplomatic ties were established, noting increased cooperation through presidential visits and other exchanges.
National Assembly Secretary Tul Bahadur Kandel, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Parliament Secretariat, and the Chinese Embassy attended the meeting.
