SAPTARI, Aug 14: Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Upendra Yadav has voiced support for rewriting the Constitution after amendment, arguing that the main law of the land carries flaws.
At a swearing-in and office-assuming program of the newly elected district committee held in Rajbiraj of Saptari on Wednesday, he said the federal democratic republic should be made robust by amending the Constitution that was promulgated 10 years back.
JSPN unlikely to withdraw support from ruling coalition
The Constitution has yet to address some of the issues of the Madhesi, Tharu, Muslim, Dalit, indigenous nationalities, and marginalized communities, he claimed, stressing the need of amendment to the Constitution to address the issues.
Noting that a strong government is a must to control corruption, keep good governance and gain public trust, he blamed that the province structure was made powerless and lawless.
