A meeting of cabinet held at Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar decided to accept Rs 33 billion to be provided by Japan for earthquake victims and Rs 14 billion by China for upgradation of Araniko Highway.
Likewise, the meeting passed a two-year work plan for earthquake relief and reconstruction , according to Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai.
Similarly, the cabinet formed a seven-member committee for reform and monitoring of physical infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai, Finance Secretary and one member to be nominated by the cabinet are the members of the committee.
