Speaking at a function organized on Sunday, Minister Bhandari stressed on the need for understanding and collaboration along with an atmosphere of trust among the political parties to save the nation by recognizing the demand of time and people´s aspiration.
He also urged the Maoist side to present themselves in a responsible manner to accept the fact that only the Maoist combatants, who fulfill the criteria of the National Army, could be integrated in the Nepal Army.
On the occasion, Bhandari claimed that the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 would meet its target of bringing in one million tourists, and the government was already implementing a strategy for the same.
Also speaking at the program, Minister of State for Home, Rijwan Ansari said the law and order situation was improving, and expressed the determination to have the group involved in the murder of Jamim Shah arrested.
Stating that the constitution could not be drafted by May 28 if time was wasted in changing the power equation, Ansari urged the political parties to give high priority to the constitution drafting process.
