BUSINESS BRIEFS: JCB-MAW opens branch in Chitwan

KATHMANDU, March 8: JCB-MAW has opened its branch office at Balmandir Chowk in Chitwan. According to a press statement, the brance will provide 3S facilities -- sales, service and spares -- for customers of JCB construction and heavy equipment. Binaya Kumar Khatiwada, president of Contractors Association of Chitwan, inaugurated the new branch.



With the addition of new branch in Chitwan, JCB-MAW will now be providing 3S facility from its seven branches. JCB-MAW currently has branches in Kathmandu, Birgunj, Itahari, Pokhara, Butwal and Dhangadi. [break]



"JCB is a No. 1 brand in Nepal, India, UK and Europe mainly because of its fuel efficiency, low maintenance cost, high performance, high reliability and best after sales service network," said the statement. JCB-MAW sells products like backhoe loader, excavators, roller, loader and liftall. "JCB equipment use JCB ecoMAX BSIII engines in its models like 3DX Super, 4DX, VM 115, VMT 860, 430ZX and JS 210LC. Such type of engines reduce pollution, vibration and noise and gives high productivity with low fuel consumption and low maintenance cost," added the statement.



Snickers declare lucky winners



KATHMANDU
: United Distributors, the authorized distributor of Snickers, has announced winners of its campaign ´Hunger Bhagaun Luck Badhaun´. According to a press statement issued on Friday, the campaign was carried out for 57 gram Snickers for a two-month period till January 15. Under the scheme, customers buying 57 gram Snickers received a scratch coupon through which they could win a lucky draw coupon and instant cash discounts of Rs 5 to Rs 10.



Coupon numbers 200139, 110482 and 200400 have been declared winners of first, second and third prize, respectively. The company is giving away Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy S2, and a Samsung 32” LCD TV as the first, second and third prizes, respectively. Besides, ten lucky numbers received a mountain bike each as consolation prize, according to the statement.



Coca-Cola trains women retailers



KATHMANDU
: Coca-Cola Nepal celebrated International Women´s Day by organising a training program for thirty women retailers on Friday. According to a press release issued on Friday, the training was organized impart skills, tools and techniques required to succeed in Nepal´s constantly changing retail scenario to the women retailers.



"Coca-Cola University has begun a training program called Parivartan (change) for Nepal´s retailers," reads the release. Coca-Cola University is a virtual global university for all learning and capability-building activities for internal as well as external stakeholders. "This includes system employees, retailers, trade partners, bottlers and among others," states the statement. "Parivartan includes modules on shop management, stock management, customer management and financial management."
