BUSINESS BRIEFS: Honda launches 'I Love Dio' contest

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: Syakar Trading Company (STC) -- the authorized distributor of Honda two-wheelers in Nepal -- has launched second edition of its ´´I Love Dio´ contest. Issuing a press statement, the company said interested participants need to take a picture with their loved ones on Honda Dio and upload it on Honda Nepal´s Facebook page (www.faceboook.com/HondaNepal) .



"The picture that gets the maximum likes will win a Solitaire diamond ring worth Rs 237,000," the statement added. The contest is open for both men and women. Besides, the company is also providing attractive gifts to people liking Honda Nepal´s Facebook page. The company is giving away Honda wristwatch to one lucky winner every day. Similarly, one lucky winner will get Rs 100,000 as bumper prize at the end of the 45-day contest.[break]



Vianet offers free installation with annual package



KATHMANDU
: Vianet Communications -- one of the leading Internet service providers -- is offering free installation and free three-month Internet with annual subscription of its FiberNet Internet service at the CAN Info-Tech . A press statement issued on Tuesday said Vianet will launch fiber to the home (FTTH) technology for home user at the event.



“To keep up with technological pace, Vianet started distributing high speed Internet via FTTH in 2011,” the statement said, adding that Vianet now has a full-fledged network in Kathmandu Valley. Vianet is also giving away Samsung Galaxy Note II to one of the lucky winners from the visitors who will fill up the form at its stall at the Info-Tech.



Bird unveils new handset



KATHMANDU
: Gadgets Nepal -- the authorized distributor of Bird mobile in Nepal -- has introduced Bird B 101 in the Nepali market. According to a press statement issued on Tuesday, the phone has various features such as wireless FM, camera, video player, audio player, video recording Bluetooth and dust proof key pad. The phone supports external memory up to 4 GB. Gadgets Nepal sell 45 models of Bird mobile in Nepal. It provides 13-month warranty on all its models, according to the statement.



NLIC City Centre turns four



KATHMANDU
: NLIC City Centre, one of the largest shopping malls of the country, is organizing a monthlong ´Winter Carnival´ to mark its third anniversary. Speaking at a program in the capital on Monday, Rajendra Aryal, managing director of City Centre Building Management Company, said the carnival will last till the end of February. Customers will get up to 60 percent discount during the carnival. Aryal said classes on Yoga and Art of Living, musical program, and children games, among others will be organized in the carnival.
