Charlotte's parents of from Chesire, England and her husband David, son Tom and daughter Chloe arrived in Nepal last Friday for the formal opening of the center amid a special function at Chunikhel, Kathmandu.
"Charlotte's Haven on Earth Child Care Center caters its services to about three dozen children at the moment who became victims of several misfortunes including the decade-long insurgency and last year's devastating earthquake," reads a press statement issued by the organization on Wednesday.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the center, Barry Evans said that he was pleased that EIFION Trust was able to fund construction of the child care centre to support the needy children of Nepal.
Krishna Adhikari, principal of Valley Public Higher Secondary School and Children's representative Sabina Subedi thanked the donors for their generosity and extending helping hands for the Nepali kids.
The child care center is sheltering around 36 children at its shelter house currently.
