BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Jan 16: A football match between clubs from Nepal and India took an ugly turn after the players were involved in a brawl taking over the referee's decision.

The match was taking place between Mahakali Youth Club of Belauri-1 in Kanchanpur and a team from Dasahi in Lakhimpur of neighbouring India. Players from the two sides differed over a decision of the umpire referring the match, and then took to physical assault, Police Inspector at the District Police Office Padam Thapa said.

Minor injuries were reported in the players from both sides. The incident cooled down after police personnel intervened. RSS
