The father and daughter had left Gyalzen Hotel in Ngisyang Rural Municipality-4, stating they were heading to visit Maleripa Monastery in Ward 5. They went out of contact shortly after.

Following their disappearance, the hotel informed the APF’s Mountain Rescue Training School in Manang to initiate a search operation.

After initial efforts failed, a rescue team led by APF Deputy Superintendent Hirabahadur Jisi, equipped with rescue gear, was deployed again on November 9.
