KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The final phase of the nationwide Web Competition 2013 -- jointly organized by Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) and Shastra Creation -- concluded on Sunday. According to a press release issued on Sunday, the competition concluded at Islington College. "More than 259 groups from different schools and colleges had participated in the competition," said the release. A total of 20 groups had reached the final phase that started from January 1. "The groups were given assignment to develop a website template with some limited reference. The competitors had to develop a website within four hours," the release added.
Sureshot prize on Yamaha
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Yamaha has launched a new scheme for its consumers on the occasion of New Year 2070 BS. Issuing a statement on Sunday, the company said all buyers would get a scratch card which will have three boxes with prizes hidden in it. "The price on offer are 10 grams gold, iPhone 5 or cash prize between Rs 5,000 and Rs 100,000," Yamaha said in the statement. The scheme came into effect from Friday.
