Addressing a talk program organized by the Chevening Alumni Association of Nepal (CAAN) in the capital on Sunday, former attorney general Hari Phuyal said that victims of torture would be deprived of justice if the flaws in the current bill are not corrected.

He said that the bill has failed to fix the amount of compensation to the victims, and this deprives the victims of the opportunity to claim adequate compensation from their perpetrators. 'Only the provision of maximum ceiling for the compensation amount can ensure justice to the victims,' he said.
