Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Ashit Shamsher Rana, president of the association, informed that the training and tournament will be helpful to convert the interest of cricket into baseball as the two sports are similar.Players from APF Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Gorkha Kriyu Club of Lalitpur and other seven schools, which will also take part in the tournament, will attend the training to be conducted by a technical team from the USA, according to Rana.
Rana informed that the association wants to develop the sport from school level as it has high scope in the country.
Budhanilkantha School, British Gorkha School, St Xavier's School, Gyanodaya School, Olympia School, Malpi School and Santwona School will compete in the two-day event. The tournament will conclude on September 21.
