Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Deepak Acharya, director of the club, informed that around one hundred golfers including men, women and senior golfers will take part in the championship that will be played over 18 holes, on a stableford ¾ handicap format.According to the organizers, attractive prizes will be awarded to the winners, runners-up of all three categories as well as for best gross, longest drive, closest to the pin and most birdies. Seventy golfers have already registered for the championship sponsored by Pernod Ricard.
The championship will cost nearly Rs 800,000, Acharya informed during the program.
Meanwhile, Rabindra Saini, Pernod Ricard's country manager in Nepal, informed that Pernod Ricard has been supporting golf events across the world for years and supporting the sport in Nepal for couple of years.
