KATHMANDU, March 28: Suresh Rajak, a journalist with Avenues TV, has died in a building set on fire by pro-monarchy protesters in Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Friday.

Rajak, a photojournalist, was capturing footage from the roof of the building when the fire broke out, according to Avenues TV. The protesters, who supported the monarchy, set the building on fire, accusing it of being occupied by the police. As a result, Rajak was trapped and burned alive.


After the fire, his charred body was recovered from the building. Police reported that the body was found in an unrecognizable condition. Authorities are currently investigating the incident. The fire was set following a clash between the protesters and the police at the scene.
