Khanal, including other employees working under the ministry in Parvat, Panchthar and other districts were manhandled by the protestors during the strike.
Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the ministry has urged the authorities concerned to ensure treatment of the injured employees and take action against the culprits.
Likewise, the Society of District Education Officers has also issued a statement condemning the act of manhandling Khanal calling it “a challenge to the universally accepted principles of individual rights”.
