APF, New Diamond maintain winning run

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Defending champion APF Club and last year's runner-up New Diamond Academy have extended their winning run to nine and seven matches respectively in the Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup Double League Women Volleyball being held at the New Bus Park in Kathmandu.

APF beat another departmental team Nepal Police Club 25-18, 25-15, 25-16 on Friday. With the result, leader APF has 27 points from nine matches.

Similarly, New Diamond Academy beat Tribhuvan Army Club by 25-7, 25-19, 25-16 to record its seventh consecutive win.

In other matches of the day, Chandeshwari Youth Club, Ramechhap defeated Shree Janaki HS, Chitwan 14-25, 25-11, 25-15, 25-22, Angel's Heart thrashed Bindhyabashini by 25-19, 25-7, 25-14 and Western Region recorded 25-10, 25-10, 25-7 win over Dhading Artists Association.
