APF, Mahindra renew five-year deal

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Armed Police Force (APF) Club and Agni Incorporated Private Limited, dealers of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal, have renewed their partnership contract by five years.

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Armed Police Force (APF) Club and Agni Incorporated Private Limited, dealers of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal, have renewed their partnership contract by five years. 



At an event organized at Halchowk in Kathmandu on Sunday, APF Club President Ramsharan Paudel and Mahindra representative Arjun Prasad Sharma exchanged the agreement papers. 


Paudel informed that the club and Mahindra signed a five-year contract worth Rs 20 million. According to the agreement, Mahindra will provide APF an annual sum of Rs 4 million.

APF also informed that the sum will be used for both its men’s and the women’s football and cricket teams. 


The team will wear jerseys having a logo of Mahindra during the Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League which is being organized from September 29, while the name of the club will be APF Mahindra Football Team and APF Mahindra Cricket Team. 


Earlier, APF and Mahindra had signed a five-year agreement three years ago. According to the new agreement, the sum is nearly double the previous deal. 


The team has been playing in a total of 23 categories including football, cricket, volleyball, among others. 


The deal is only valid for football and cricket.
