RAUTAHAT, Jan 1: An Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector has died after being hit by a passenger bus in Sarlahi.
The passenger bus, heading towards Kathmandu from Chhauthan, hit 40-year-old Bijay Kumar Tuladhar, the in-charge of the Chhauthan BOP in Sarlahi, resulting in his death.
At around 8:30 pm last night, the Rajdevi bus with license plate BA-Province-01006 Kha 2004 hit APF Inspector Tuladhar in front of the Chhauthan BOP in Ward 9 of Balra Municipality, located along the Postal Highway in Sarlahi.

Inspector Tuladhar, who sustained severe injuries, was being taken to the government hospital in Malangwa for treatment, but he passed away on the way, according to SP Rabindra Bahadur Singh, the head of the District Police Office in Sarlahi.
The bus was being driven at high speed by the co-driver, who had been drinking alcohol. The driver lost control and hit Armed Police Inspector Tuladhar, who was on duty, causing the bus to overturn in front of the Armed Police BOP, according to SP Binod Khanal, the head of the 10th Battalion of the Armed Police Force in Sarlahi.
The body of the deceased Inspector Tuladhar has been kept at the Regional Hospital in Malangwa. The police have taken the bus co-driver and other accomplices into custody.
The co-driver of the bus that hit Inspector Tuladhar, 22-year-old Bikas Kumar Baitha from Dhankaul, Sarlahi, along with 19-year-old Ajit Baitha from Balra-10 and 23-year-old Prem Shankar Yadav from Balra-10, have been taken into custody for further investigation, according to the Sarlahi Police.
