Culture expert Tulasi Diwasa, who was present as the chief guest, launched an animated video and also revealed the title of the film, 'Dokh'. The film is set to go on floors on April 14.
Interestingly, the film team had turned the waiting area of Shilpee Theater into a football ground and placed a blood covered football in the center.
Speaking at the press meet, Producer Sabin Gyawali said, "In my opinion, there are three things required for a film to be a success; story, story, and story. And Anup Baral understood the circumstances of this story perfectly."
The script, written by Rajan Kathet, was chosen from a scriptwriting competition that was organized two years ago. The film is based on the game of football and a village.
Commenting on how Nepali films lack the touch of 'Nepalipan', chief guest Diwasa said, "But I'm seeing that this film will have that 'Nepalipan' and all Nepalis will be able to relate to the story."
At the event, Shrawan Mukarung also recited the song he has penned for 'Dokh' while musician Aavas stated that it was a challenge to compose music for the film. Nepathya's Amrit Gurung has sung for the film.
'Dokh' stars Diya Maskey, Raj Thapa, Lokmani Sapkota, Manish Niraula, Roydeep Shrestha, Kamal Devkota, Keshab Rai and Sajan Thapa Magar, among others. The film will be shot in Bhojpur with Shailendra Karki as the cinematographer and Jason Kunwar providing the background score.
