ANFA selects 30 players for U-22

KATHMANDU, May 4: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) selected 28 players on Friday to take part in the closed camp training for AFC U-22 Asian Cup Qualifying matches to be held in Kathmandu from June 2 to 10.



Earlier, ANFA had called in 50 players for the first round of training. ANFA picked 28 out of 48 players after the first week´s training.[break]



Meanwhile, ANFA informed that Jagajeet Shrestha, who is facing a month ban from ANFA, and Rohit Chand, who has been playing for Indian club HAL, will join the closed camp training later.



ANFA has selected Bikash Kuthu, Bishal Shrestha, Amrit Kumar Chaudhary, Dinesh Thapa Magar, Sabindra Shrestha, Bikash Singh Chhetri, Robin Shrestha, Deepak Bhusal, Palsang Lama and Ajit Bhandari for the second round of training.



Likewise, Prabin Sainju, Rabi Thapa, Shiva Shrestha, Roshan Lamichhane, Prabin Karki, Ganesh Khadka, Rupesh KC, Sulav Maskey, Anil Ojha, Bharat Khawas, Sujal Shrestha, Amir Shrestha, Asim Jung Karki, Buddha Chemjong, Jangbu Sherpa, Sushil KC, Santosh Tamang and Bishal Rai are also among the 28 members selected.



Krishna Thapa is the chief coach of the U-22 Nepali team while Hari Khadka is assistant coach. Yemen, Jordan, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan are slated in the group ´D´ qualifiers along side Nepal.
