KATHMANDU, Dec 21: ‘Build Lalitpur’, a fund-raising event was organized by The Rising Future Nepal (TRFN) on Saturday at Mangal Bazaar, Lalitpur.

The event was organized to fund an initiative “A step towards conservation of culture and heritage” which will focus on maintaining sanitation and educating youth and the locals. The organizers will also shed light on the importance of the preservation of culture and heritages along with construction of ruined shrines.

Newari food stalls, Lakhe dance and flash mob were the main attraction during the event.

“Building Lalitpur not only means reconstructing the heritage sites destroyed during the earthquakes last year, but it also means taking a step to preserve the long lost mythical stories which reflect our tradition and culture,” said Sohil Shrestha , the founder of TRFN.
