6th Summit of BIMSTEC begins (With Photos)

The summit started with a group photo session of the heads of government of the member countries and the tabled agenda at the Sangri-La Hotel in Bangkok.

BANGKOK, April 4: The sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) has begun. The summit started with a group photo session of the heads of government of the member countries and the tabled agenda at the Sangri-La Hotel in Bangkok.


Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of Thailand welcomed the leaders of the delegations from the member countries. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, along with the heads of government from the member countries, will address the conference today.

After signing the "BIMSTEC Maritime Transport Cooperation" agreement at the summit, the prime ministers (or delegation leaders) from Thailand, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Sri Lanka will deliver their addresses.
