Factory sealed off following the confirmation of COVID-19 infection in the staff 



POKHARA, Sept 8: Fifty nine people working at Pokhara Foods Private Limited in Pokhara Industrial Area have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Thirty four of them had tested positive for the virus three days ago, and 25 others were found to have contracted the virus on Monday, according to Gandaki Province Health Directorate, Pokhara.


The infected people work at a biscuit factory. According to the directorate, contact tracing has been expedited.


According to factory sources, the labourers contracted the virus through a worker from Pokhara Metropolis-5.


Following the situation, the factory has been sealed off.
