KATHMANDU, June 20: A moderate earthquake jolted western Nepal with epicenter in Rukum district on Saturday evening.
The National Seismological Center (NSC) said the quake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was recorded at 6:08 pm. Temblor was felt in Kathmandu Valley too.
Magnitude 5.3 quake jolts Turkey, causes minor damage
There are no immediate words of damage and casualty.
NSC stated the earthquake is not an aftershock of the 7.6 magnitude earthquake of April 25.
It is the third quake in western region after the devastating earthquake. Earlier, two quakes measuring 4.8 and 4.7 magnitude occurred with epicenter in Humla district.
