Demonstrators carrying placards that read "Lipulek is Ours, Stop intervention in Nepal's Sovereignty' marched to New Baneswor from Maitghar Mandal.Upon reaching New Baneshwor, the rally converged into a mass meeting where Vice Chair of CPN-Maoist, leading party of the alliance, CP Gajurel addressed. The Lipulek Agreement reflected highhanded mentality of India and China towards Nepal, he said. It was a matter of sadness that no strong defense has been taken from Nepal even though two months have elapsed since the signing of the agreement, he added.
India and China on May 15 signed the agreement on a trade route between the two countries but passing through the Lipulek point of Nepal. RSS
