KATHMANDU, April 26: The number of Nepalis who died of the coronavirus in the UK has climbed to 33 as of Sunday, according to the Embassy of Nepal in London.
Spokesperson for the embassy, Sharad Raj Aran told Republica Online over the phone that 33 Nepalis have succumbed to COVID-19 so far.

Most of the Nepalis who passed away due to coronavirus were former Gurkha veterans and their family members, according to the embassy.
"Of the 33, 23 are former British Gurkha soldiers," Aran said.
The spokesperson said that the embassy is currently gathering the data of Nepali nationals infected by the virus across the United Kingdom.
