32 Nepali workers arrested in Malaysia

KATHMANDU, May 27: Malaysian Immigration Department has arrested 32 Nepali migrants illegally working in a glove factory.

According to Malaysian news agency, Bernama, 54 foreigners including a French national were held during raid at a factory in Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kulim on Monday


Some 15 workers from Bangladesh, two from Indonesia, China and Myanmar were also detained.

The immigration officials told that the workers did not have valid work permits or permits to work in the health industry in Kota Baharu, Kelantan and Kluang, Johor, the report said.
