According to the police, the accused had kidnapped the victim on her way to market on November 16. They raped and murdered her on the same day, according to their confession before the press on Tuesday.
"The victim's body was buried in the Pahiro River that flows through the nearby forest. Our investigation has revealed that they killed her by mercilessly hitting her with rocks," said SP Birendra Shrestha, the chief of the DPO Surkhet.

According to SP Shrestha, the three accused were arrested from their house on November 20.
Police Inspector Bharat Bahadur Chaudhary, chief of Area Police Office, Chhinchu, who is investigating the case, said all three accused had been demanding stern punishment for those involved in the incident ever since the body was discovered in an attempt to mislead the investigating team.
