147 COVID-19 patients recovered in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, July 12: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has said that 147 COVID-19 patients were discharged after recovery across the country in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, July 12: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has said that 147 COVID-19 patients were discharged after recovery across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the MoHP, Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery tally reached 8,589 with 147 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. "It means that of the total coronavirus patients, 51.1 percent patients have recovered as of now,” he added.


Similarly, the Health Ministry has also detected 82 fresh new cases through 3,916 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests conducted at 25 different laboratories across the nation.


As of Sunday, 8,174 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and isolation centers.


Likewise, the MoHP has also claimed that Nepal is ahead of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India among SAARC nations in terms of conducting the PCR test.
