13 Cyclists through to 2nd round

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Nepal Cycling Association (NCA) on Saturday selected 13 cyclists, including three women, from the first round of the selection for the 12th South Asian Games. Narayan Gopal Maharjan, Mukti Tamang, Ajay Pandit Chhetri, Astaman Tamang, Raj Kumar Shrestha, Rajan Bhandari, Sabin Mahajan, Lelish Maharjan, Ukesh Bajracharya and Kiran Kumar are the cyclists to get selected in the men's category through the first round held at Hattiban in Kathmandu. Similarly, Laxmi Magar, Rishma Shrestha and Pushpa Kumari Bhandari are the women cyclists who have been selected.  



Table Tennis selection from Wednesday
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Nepal Table Tennis Association is set to hold the selection tournament for the 12th South Asian Games from Wednesday. However, the first round of selection will be held for those players who are not in the national team. Currently five men and five women players are in the national team. According to the association, top eight players in both men's and women's sections will join the national team for the round-robin league tournament for the final selection. Only five male and five female players will get selected for the SAG. The selection tournament will conclude on December 13.
