KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The 10th National Games is going to be held from February 13, 2026.
The 123rd board meeting of the National Sports Council held on Wednesday under the Chairmanship of the Chairperson, Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, decided to organise the National Games from February 13-19 in Karnali Province.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to recommend that the cabinet provide former runner Jit Bahadur KC, who won the first international medal for Nepal, with Rs 2.5 million.
Several decisions were made, including directing the national sports association to organize national championships, which had not been held for a long time. The championships are to be organized within the next three months.
Additionally, the national sports association is required to announce the facilities and prizes for the concerned players within 15 days. A report related to foreign visits must also be submitted to the National Sports Council (NSC).SC Member-Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, Vice-Chairperson Dhurba Acharya, Secretary at the Ministry, Dr Hari Prasad Lamsal, and Board members were present in the meeting.
