According to the data provided from the Department of Foreign Employment as many as 52,210 people had left for different countries in mid-March to mid-April but it is decreased by around 20,000 that only 3125 people left the country for foreign job in mid-April-mid May.
Of them, the highest number of youths that is 8,847 went to Malaysia, 8,130 youths left for Qatar and 7,412 went to Saudi Arabia, 3,792 went to Dubai, and 1,195 left for South Korea.
The number of people reached to the Department to take labor permit for the countries was high before April but the number has gone down suddenly after the quake in Nepal, said Directed General of the Department Badri Kumar Karki.
As many as 42,309 people left the country for foreign job in the first month of the current fiscal year. Similarly, 51,551 people went to different countries in the second month, 35,550 youths went in the third 43,213 youths in the fourth, 53,354 youths went in the fifth month, 45,362 people went in the sixth, 48,941 people went in the seventh month, and 44,460 youths went in the eighth month of the current fiscal year.
With this, a total of 448,325 people left the country for foreign job against 411,589 went in the same period in the previous fiscal year. RSS
