KATHMANDU, Oct 18: The police have arrested a person with counterfeit notes.
A police team deployed at the Gandak check post in Birgunj Metropolitan City-14 arrested Krishna Kumar Mahato, 20, with 47 counterfeit notes of 1,000 denomination on Thursday.
The arrested young man hails from Bihar, India. According to the police, counterfeit notes were found in Mahato's possession during a search of a mini-bus with the registration number Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 2147, which was en route to Hetauda from Birgunj.
Police said that an investigation into the case is currently underway.
