KATHMANDU, March 19: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at Rs 138.22, while the selling rate is Rs 139.82. On Tuesday, the buying rate for one US dollar was Rs 138.59, while the selling rate was at Rs 139.19.
Similarly, the buying rate for one euro is Rs 151.12, and the selling rate is Rs 151.78. The British pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 179.49 and a selling rate of Rs 180.27. The Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 157.17 and a selling rate of Rs 157.85.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 88.05, with a selling rate of Rs 88.43. Likewise, one Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 96.75 and a selling rate of Rs 97.17, while the Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 103.80 for buying and Rs 104.25 for selling.
For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.23, and the selling rate is Rs 9.28. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 19.13 for buying and Rs 19.21 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is traded at a buying rate of Rs 36.85 and a selling rate of Rs 37.01, whereas the Qatari riyal has a buying rate of Rs 37.92 and a selling rate of Rs 38.08.
Additionally, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.12 and a selling rate of Rs 4.13. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 37.63 for buying and Rs 37.80 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 31.10 for buying and Rs 31.23 for selling. The South Korean won (100 units) has a buying rate of Rs 9.52 and a selling rate of Rs 9.56. The Swedish krona is valued at Rs 13.72 for buying and Rs 13.78 for selling, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 20.26 and a selling rate of Rs 20.34.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 17.79, while the selling rate is Rs 17.87. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 448.81 for buying and Rs 450.76 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 366.64 for buying and Rs 368.23 for selling. The Omani riyal has a buying rate of Rs 359.04 and a selling rate of Rs 360.59. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees are valued at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it can revise these exchange rates at any time if necessary. The rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank's website.
