The deceased have been identified as 70-year-old Adhya Devi of Gaur Municipality-4 and Taimul Nesa, 65, of Jaya Nagar Municipality-9, said Rautahat police.
According to police, Adhya Devi died in a fire that broke out in her house where she was sleeping on Wednesday night. The fire had started from a burning candle which first caught her bed and then gradually spread to the mosquito net, DSP Rajendra Pokharel, spokesperson for Rautahat district police office, told Republica.
Similarly, Nesa lost her life in a motorcycle accident after being hit by a bus near Bahurba Chowk.
Nesa, a pillion rider, got killed, when the motorcycle she was riding on was hit by the bus. Both the vehicles were heading to Chandranigahapur from Garuda.
The police are investigating the case after taking both the drivers under control.
