Tourists visiting Mustang increase by 81 per cent

The District Police Office, Mustang, has stated that the number of foreign tourists visiting Mustang has increased by 81.84 percent in the corresponding period of the current fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year 2025/26.

MUSTANG, June 23: Tourists visiting Mustang have increased significantly in the compared to the previous years. 



The District Police Office, Mustang, has stated that the number of foreign tourists visiting Mustang has increased by 81.84 percent in the corresponding period of the current fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year 2025/26.


According to the office, a total of 244,880 foreign tourists have visited Mustang till mid-June of the current fiscal year. The number was 134,664 during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Notably, the number of Indian tourists has increased this year. 


According to Ishwar Mahat, Police Inspector and Information Officer of the District Police Office, Mustang, 90,939 foreign tourists have entered Mustang in the month of Jestha (mid-April to mid-June) of the current fiscal year alone. Of these, 90 percent are Indian tourists. 


In the month of Jestha last year, 24,372 foreign tourists had visited Mustang.


According to the District Police Office, Mustang, 99,399 foreign tourists visited Mustang in the fiscal year 2024/25 and 150,453 in the fiscal year 2025/26.
