KATHMANDU, Oct 22: The temporary police (Myadi prahari)) personnel selected for election purposes have realized their mistakes and agreed to go to the places where they are deployed by the government.

The government had recruited the temporary police to deploy them in the Constituent Assembly (CA) election but they organized various protests saying the government planned to pay only for one and half months, though it had called applications for recruiting for two months.[break]

The temporary police personnel in Bara, Rautahat and Nuwakot districts protested saying that they should be paid for two months and provide allowances and other facilities after the government decided to appoint only for 45 days and pay only Rs. 24,000.

Some temporary police personnel had refused to work outside their districts citing little payments but they have agreed to go their fields except for a handful of them. The government has planned to send alternative candidates in place of those who refused to go their field, said Nawaraj Silwal, Spokesperson of Nepal Police.
