KATHMANDU, March 26: More than 68,000 applications have been received for temporary police recruits in Madesh Province. A total of 68,019 people have applied for 21,698 temporary police posts in the province.
According to the Provincial Police Office, Janakpurdham, 68,019 people have applied for temporary police recruitment in the province for the local level election to be held on April 12.

As many as 9,434 people have applied in Saptari, 6,507 in Siraha, 9,021 in Dhanusha, 8,054 in Mahottari, 10,851 in Sarlahi, 4,484 in Rautahat, 11,267 in Bara and 6,201 in Parsa, according to the police office.
However, 3,139 temporary police personnel will be recruited in Saptari, 2,331 in Siraha, 3,486 in Dhanusha, 2,737 in Mahottari, 3,088 in Sarlahi, 2,589 in Rautahat, 2,528 in Bara and 1,801 in Parsa.
