Speaker-Chief Whips’ meeting ends without consensus as oppn’ stands firm

KATHMANDU, June 4: A meeting of chief whips from various political parties called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire ended without resolution on Wednesday.

Opposition parties-CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Swatantra Party, and CPN (Unified Socialist) have been disrupting the House, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over his alleged involvement in the visit visa scandal.
