KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Selena Gomez has unveiled her upcoming album I Said I Love You First, set for release on March 21, and dropped its lead single, Scared of Loving You, on Thursday.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Gomez expressed excitement for the project alongside her fiancé, producer Benny Blanco. "We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon," she wrote. Blanco echoed the sentiment, posting behind-the-scenes clips from their album shoot and celebrating their relationship: "I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with you."

The album marks Gomez’s return to music following her role in Emilia Pérez, the Oscar-nominated film that has stirred controversy due to resurfaced social media posts by its lead actress. Despite the backlash, Gomez has stood by the project, stating, "I choose to continue to be proud of what I’ve done."

Blanco, a renowned producer, has collaborated with artists like Ed Sheeran, BTS, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande. He and Gomez have previously worked together on her singles Single Soon (2023) and I Can’t Get Enough (2019).

The couple announced their engagement in December, a year after making their relationship public.
