KATHMANDU, March 12: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order directing the Credit Information Centre (CIC) not to keep the name of Kishori Sah Kamal, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate from Dhanusha Constituency-1, on its blacklist.

A single bench of Justice Sharanga Subedi issued the interim order on Thursday.

Sah’s candidacy had been cancelled after the CIC blacklisted his name. Following the cancellation, Sah filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court.

Responding to the petition, the court issued an interim order directing that his name be removed from the blacklist.

With the interim order, Sah’s candidacy will remain valid. However, despite the earlier cancellation of his candidacy, the RSP’s election symbol—the bell—received a significant number of votes in Dhanusha-1.

The Election Commission (EC) has already declared Matrika Yadav of the Nepali Communist Party  (NCP) as the elected candidate from the constituency.
