KATHMANDU, March 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is maintaining a strong lead in the ongoing vote counting under the proportional representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives election, according to the latest results released by election authorities.
A total of 7,320,888 votes have been counted nationwide so far. The RSP is leading with 3,697,742 votes (50.51 percent).

The Nepali Congress is in second position with 1,248,639 votes (17.06 percent), while the CPN-UML is in third position with 1,058,291 votes (14.46 percent).
Other parties have also secured portions of the PR vote share. The Nepali Communist Party has received 543,951 votes (7.43 percent), followed by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 260,534 votes (3.56 percent).
Similarly, the Shram Sanskriti Party has secured 249,211 votes (3.40 percent), while the Rastriya Pariwartan Party has received 103,567 votes (1.41 percent). The Janamat Party has secured 47,379 votes (0.65 percent) and the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal 111,574 votes (1.52 percent) as the counting process continues.
