'Rowdy' Dhrube still out of sight

CHITWAN, Jan. 29: Rampaging elephant ´Dhrube´, which had terrorized people after killing a Bote couple in Madi of Chitwan lately, has been still out of sight for the past one month.



The Chitwan National Park administration has recalled additional security personnel and vehicles from Madi on Monday after consultation with office-bearers of local community forests and other stakeholders. [break]



The administration had mobilized 16 domesticated elephants, two vehicles, 50 security personnel, 20 national park employees, 10 employees serving at the Bio Diversity Conservation Centre and 32 Mahouts to take the rouge elephant under control after it took the lives of Buddhiram Bore, 65, and his wife Jariya Bote, 60 on last December 15.



Meanwhile, Buddhi Bahadur Kumal, 37, a local of Meghauli in west Chitwan died on the spot on Tuesday after being mauled by a tiger while he was on his way to the forest for collecting fodder.
