Power supply to be disrupted in several parts of Kathmandu valley today

KATHMANDU, March 14: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced that electricity supply will be disrupted in several areas of Kathmandu on Saturday due to maintenance work.



In a public notice, the NEA said power outages will occur in areas served by the Gothatar and Battisputali feeders under the Baneshwor Distribution Center.

According to the NEA, maintenance work is being carried out on an 11 kV line supplying electricity to areas including Pepsicola and Town Planning.


Power supply in Pepsicola and Town Planning areas will remain disrupted from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM to facilitate the repair of old poles and installation of new ones.


Similarly, electricity will be cut off in Mid-Baneshwor, Old Baneshwor and Battisputali areas from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the notice said.


The NEA stated that power supply will resume immediately if the work is completed ahead of schedule. The NEA has apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers due to the outage.
