Nepal: Parliamentary election cost hits Rs 5.37 billion

KATHMANDU, March 19: The House of Representatives election has cost a total of Rs 5.37 billion. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Election Commission (EC) Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said the average expenditure per voter was Rs 284.



“So far, Rs 3.5428796 billion has been spent. Including pending payments, the total expenditure reaches Rs 5.37 billion. We have successfully conducted a cost-effective election,” he said.
