JHAPA, Feb 3: One person died in a road accident this morning at the Juke culvert in Kankai Municipality-1 on the East-West Highway.
According to the police, 50-year-old Hari Prasad Sitaula of Sharanamati, Jhapa Rural Municipality-6, was seriously injured when the motorcycle numbered (Me 4 Pa 950) traveling from west to east lost control and hit the diversion.
Sitaula, who suffered head and forehead injuries, was sent to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment. The District Police Office said that the doctor who examined him immediately upon arrival at the hospital declared him dead.
