KATHMANDU, Nov 22: One person has been arrested with 2 kg of gold from Grang, Kalika Rural Municipality-1, Rasuwa.
The police arrested 34-year-old Karma Sonam Lama, a resident of Briddhim, Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-3, on Thursday evening, according to DSP Keshab Bhattarai of the District Police Office, Rasuwa.
According to him, during the inspection of motorcycle Bagmati Province 02-043 Pa 2434 heading towards Kalika, gold was recovered hidden in the sole of the driver Lama's shoes.
DSP Bhattarai said that the case has been forwarded to the Department of Revenue Investigation for further investigation and examination.
