Ojha, Shrestha suspended from camp

KATHMANDU, March 21: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has suspended Anil Ojha and Shiva Shrestha from the closed camp of national team on Monday after primary findings of the investigation into the Pokhara incident, where some players got drunk and indulged in brawl.



Ojha reportedly manhandled goalkeeper Bikash Malla who was trying to counsel inebriated Ojha and Shiva Shrestha who were engaged in a heated argument with team-mate Jagjit Shrestha on Saturday evening at Hotel Bed-Rock in Pokhara after their victory over Bhutan in a two-match friendly series.[break]



ANFA on Monday consulted Coach Grahm Roberts and team manager Krishna Bhakta Manandhar and took the decision to suspend both Ojha and Shrestha from the camp with immediate effect.



ANFA said other disciplinary actions against the errants would be taken after further investigation into the incident.



Coach Grahm Roberts had ordered Ojha and Shrestha to move out immediately on Sunday morning. The two traveled to Kathmandu in a separate bus than rest of the team.
