NEPALGUNJ, Dec 1: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has stressed on the need to develop Nepalgunj Airport as one of the hub airports in the country.
While inaugurating the extended airport apron on Tuesday, Minister Bhattarai shared that the Nepalgunj and Biratnagar airport were in high priority of the government for modernization to develop them into international airports in future.

The extension was carried out at the total cost of over Rs 280 million. Minister Bhattarai further shared that the master plan was also in place to modernize the airport.
Minister Bhattarai further committed to prioritize the holistic development of the region adding that the region will have no difference despite not being provincial capital in Nepalgunj.
