Nepal logs 15 new cases, 17 recoveries and zero death on Friday

KATHMANDU, May 6: Nepal recorded 15 new cases of COVID-19 along with 17 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

A total of 3,453 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 15 PCR tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 215 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 213 are in self-isolation and two in institutional isolation. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded four cases of COVID-19 on the day. Of which, three were recorded in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur district.
